Hard Rock Hell

by admin on Dec.04, 2012, under News

Hi ya’ll!

Was outta wifi for a few days so here’s a summary of the end of the tour.

”Trillians” in Newcastle. Not so big place but who cares when it’s packed with singing fans? This was one of those chaotic gigs, when you hit your head cuz they’ve mounted the speakers too low, you get entangled in chords on the floor, mikes fall over etc. No intro that night, cuz they didn’t have a cd player. However, the F.O.H (mixing guy) was a fan and saw us in the early days with Thunder and put his heart into making us sound good.
I was dancin’ with people in the crowd and we were enjoying ourselves. All in all, a very good night. Thumbs up!

Aaaaaaarrrrgh! This fxxxxxing app. Just lost a looooong mail :-(

Ok, here we go again…

Went to Wales overnight. Took a shower, chilled, and slept some more. Then it was time for dinner and checked out ”Dan Baird” for a few songs. Niclas stayed for a few beers with the Bonafide guys while the rest of us chilled and watched the Rush documentary on the bus.

Gig day! Woke up around 10.30, wrote setlists and got sorted. Early gig, just after 2 o’clock.
Things get pretty chaotic backstage on festivals and we were running a bit late cuz it turned out we’d forgotten the sitar (that I use for ”Lips N Hips”) was still in the bus.

Gig went great anyways. Packed room, singing crowd. Andy had some pretty bad technical problems with his bass rigg but marched on like a trooper.

Did about 8 interviews after the show. They were raving about how different we sound. I told them it’s because of the personalities in the band but also the fact that we listen to all kinds of music. There really is no limit.

Thank you UK. Great tour. Til next time… /Bloom

Newcastle tonight

by admin on Nov.29, 2012, under News

Good morning!

Wolverhampton last night. Once again cheering crowd, and plenty fun! No wifi on the bus so Starbucks now in Newcastle to stay in touch. Got some good memories from this town and was hoping to see Ginger Wildheart but of course he’s not living here anymore.

Whoa, time flies when you’re having this much fun! Tomorrow’s a day off. We’ll spend it in Wales since we’re playing at ”Hard rock hell”. Then truck on home.

Ok.. Trillians here we come!

Thank you London!

Wam bam! That felt good. Had a great time in London. Gig was chaotic, fun, great singing crowd. One of those nights when it’s like surfing on a big wave, like something bigger is in control. Met up with some friends for a few beers after at Joe’s (great 50s rocknroll) then traveled towards Wolverhampton.

(Just realised this was saved in the drafts folder so trying again now. Better l8 than never.)

Very small crowd but nice atmosphere as always thanks to the bikerdudes who runs the place. Not our best gig to be honest but hey, sh*t happens.

Coming up, London.

Sheffield

Gig last night in Cardiff was greeeaaat fun! Small sweaty rockin’ place and the crowd sang like crazy. The fact that the bus had to be parked far away from the venue don’t matter at times like this. Traveled over night, Sheffield now.. Cheers!

Hello Cardiff

by admin on Nov.23, 2012, under News

Oi! Wrote a long blog last night that for some reason never showed up here OR was saved. Shit happens.

Anyways, gig in Alingsås was fun and intimate. Tried out the set for UK and it worked real well. The new song felt great so we’ll stick to that setlist for now.

Here’s few pics…

Our tech Martin’s son Gustav who’s with us on this tour. We like to keep things within the family.

Franco bluffin’ his way through customs.

The bus is like a cradle. I sleep like a log..

Andy on the bus diggin’ one of Niclas’s playlists

Catch ya later folks..

UK tour

by admin on Nov.21, 2012, under News

Hey fellas! Been a while. Figured I’d let you in on our upcoming tour in UK!

We got in the bus at nine this morning and went to pick up the merch. The Ninetone bus is nice and the soundsystem’s been blasting out a Niclas playlist since we started. There is no limits in this band when it comes to musical genres.. Swedish 70s cult hero Pugh Rogefeldt sandwiched between Simon & Garfunkel, Rush, reggae, salsa, The Who, Iron Butterfly and right now Frank Zappa.

We’re gonna be in Alingsås tonight for a warm up gig on the way. We’re doing a new song called ”Life Is So Electric” which went down real well in Stockholm last weekend. Hop aboard, there’s plenty space.
